First Aid & CPR Training at AAEI Club
Report: The Automobile Association of Eastern India [AAEI] is the oldest Automobile Association on the planet being even senior to the Automobile Association of Great Britain. Car Association of Eastern India has finished its 100 years presence on 27th August, 2004.
Whereas, M/s Just Sports Management Ltd., the brainchild of six Kolkata based motor sports enthusiasts with years of experience under their belt. Motor rallies of various kinds [in the city, in the state, in the country and across international borders] – Time Speed Distance [TSD], Stage Rallies, Motor cross, Gymkhanas, Drag races, Special events for ladies and the entire family. We hope to make the Car Rally for the Blind an annual event. The Individuals who do not want to be tied down with just one objective – organizing motor sports events. Individuals who believe they can do much more and as the name suggests, JUST SPORTS MANAGEMENT LIMITED also gives due attention to the promotion of other disciplines, be it cricket, football, hockey, swimming, cycling, marathon, etc.
Jointly, the two organisations, arranged for a session in First Aid & CPR for providing indepth knowledge to the Rally Marshals who conduct Motor Sports and remain as First Responders in case of an accident during such rallies.
Training: Training consisting of @ 10% theoretical training and @ 80% practical demonstration was imparted to 54 ‘Marshals’ of AAEI. The idea of this course was to provide in hand training to Marshals who would be able to act as First Responders to any unfortunate mishap in the road and provide First Aid & CPR as the need may be.
The trainees were extremely enthusiastic about all the topics and participated in all the mock drills and various arduous training exercise that were held.
