Life Saving Society of India (LSSI) is a Public Charitable Trust, registered U/s 12AA of I Tax.

LSSI is the Indian Member of the International Life Saving Federation (ILS) and a Corporate Member of National Safety Council (NSC). We are the recognised training body for the National & State Disaster Response Forces (NDRF & SDRF), Central forces like CRPF, CISF, ITBP, BSF, Civil Defence, State Police Forces, Army Engineering Core, Indian Air Force, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd., etc. We are Affiliated National Training Partners of Power Sector Skill Council and Sports Sector Skill Council.

LSSI are the Hony. Safety Auditors for various Aquatic & Non-Aquatic Public Utilities. It Is a National Body for Advocacy and sets National Standards in SAFETY related Training & Certification in:

Life Saving Society of India (LSSI) is the National Body for Training and Certification in Life Saving, Professional Pool & Surf Life Guarding, First Aid & CPR, A.E.D., Aquatic & Other Disasters, SCUBA, Rescue Diving, Power craft Operator and Crew Certification, Speed Boat & OBM Operator, Safety Training in Electric Distribution, Disaster Mitigation in Hydro Electric Power Stations, etc.

LSSI provides training in First Aid & CPR, A.E.D., Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, etc. programmes for a large number of Govt. organisations, Corporate Houses & Industrial Clients regularly.

Life Saving Society of India conducted the first ever ‘POOL SAFETY SEMINAR & WORKSHOP’ for the state of West Bengal on the 3rd of February, 2017 at Uttam Mancha, Kolkata. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation [KMC], under the able guidance of the then Hon’ble Mayor of Kolkata, Sri Sovan Chatterjee along with the unrelenting initiative of the Member, Mayor – In – Council, Sri Debasish Kumar and ably assisted by the Life Saving Society of India, had organized an unique “POOL SAFETY SEMINAR & WORKSHOP” and publication of “POOL SAFETY GUIDELINES” on the 03rd of February, 2017 at Uttam Mancha.

A valued audience comprising of honourable Members, Mayor In-Council, Pool Managers from Hotels, Principals/ Head of Institutions of Schools/ Colleges with Pool, Renowned Club Officials, Housing Society Pool Experts and Technical Expertise from the length & breadth of the Society had participated in the daylong seminar & workshop. The “POOL SAFETY GUIDELINES” Manual were handed over to all the competent Pool authorities of Kolkata for the safety of the patrons and swimming instructors and to curtail the drowning statistics in West Bengal. The whole event was conducted by the Life Saving Society of India and supported by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation
